We are still here...

Morgan is still at children's but doing alittle better! Monday she got sick really bad and couldnt keep nothing down and yesterday she couldnt have nothing at all... Today Morgan has been on clear liquids and has done really good. We havent been sick at all today! Tomorrow I think we may get to try foods again and see how she will do. If she does well I hope that means we can go home. Her I.V. went bad this morning and they took it out and they told her if she could drink 8oz. every 8 hrs. and not get sick she would not have to have another I.V.! That is great news...Morgan has been very playful today and I hope that means she is getting better! Tomorrow will tell the tell if we are close to going home! Please continue to pray for all of us but especially Morgan!

WELL HERE I SIT AGAIN AND GIVE YET ANOTHER UPDATE...

Well here I sit with not such good news... They let Morgan have some foods today and capped off her I.V. Well we did good up until about 2:00 this afternoon and then it just all back fired on us. She has been so sick since this afternoon and cant keep nothing down...They put her back on the I.V.'s and back to just liquids. They brought in the X-Ray machine and the dr. on call looked at it and it didnt look so good. She said maybe it was all just to soon. What she is eating is just not wanting to go out the right way. We have taken a step forward today and now we have taken several steps backwards...this is very discouraging but I know she will be ok. This is just a very slow process. We dont want to rush her by no means but we are ready to go home...Please continue to pray that Morgan gets better soon!

UPDATE...

Well as most of you know we are still here at Children's...Morgan is doing really well. She was able to drink alittle gatorade yesterday! Morgan only drank about 1/4 of it though... She didnt care too much for it but atleast my baby girl got to drink something for the first time 4 days... We have not drank that much today just a few sips. Morgan is very playful believe it or not. Still in some pain but that is getting better. The doctors came by this morninig and said she is doing very good but her stomach is just not awake yet... He said it is a very slow process and slow recovery. He told me just to be patient and it would all turn around soon. She is still on I.V. fuilds because she is not drinking that much and we still cant eat. Hopefully in a few days we might can start trying to eat something little. Momma is very tired but I am hanging right in here wiht her. I have only lefted the hospital once to go get more clothes...Pray GOD gives us strength to get through this and we will be home soon and well!

Another Update on Morgan...

Morgan is still in the hospital. We are doing well considering. She tends to get sick alittle. We are still in some discomfort pain. Her stomach is starting to wake up alittle so she is starting to hurt alittle more. We are running some fever which they dont really like but it is somewhat normal. Morgan still can not eat or drink. The doctor is still not sure when he will let her try something to drink. Maybe sometime sunday we may get to drink something then on monday we may can eat depending on how well she continues to do. I hate seeing my baby girl hurt and not being able to eat or drink. She told me today that I should have brought her some snacks cause these nurses want bring her any food...she told her daddy tongiht before he left to bring her a Hi-C in the morning... I sure wish I could just give her something to drink. We are hanging in here as best we can. We are still on IV's and she doesnt really like that thing in her hand. Pray for us that things continue to get better and she can eat and drink soon...

Update...

Morgan is doing well... The surgery lasted about 1 hour and 45 minutes. She was in recovery for an hour. We got to our room and she has been sleeping alot cause she is in alot of pain so they are keeping the pain meds in her pretty often. Morgan can't have anything to eat or drink for 5 days... That is gonna be the hard part cause Morgan loves her milk... She has ask several times to eat and drink but we just quickly change the subject. On the 5th day they will begin to give her just liquids then the foods will come after. They have to make sure her stomach will digest properly. Thanks for all the prayers and support just remember us for the next few days as we recover. I will update you all soon as we progress...

PRAYER REQUEST...

Tomorrow Morgan is having surgery. Morgan has what is called intestinal malrotation. We just so happened to find this through running some other test for her asthma. The doctors all tell me that is a wonder it has not caused alot of trouble for Morgan before now. Tomorrow we have to be a children's hospital at 5:30 in the morning and her surgery is at 7:30. They are going to fix her intestinal problems, remove her appendix, and move her colon down a little bit cause it sets too high up. The surgery will last about an hour and half then she will be in recovery for about an hour. We will be admitted to children's for a few days. I ask that everyone say a prayer for Morgan that everything goes well and she will be ok. I know she will be well taken care of because I believe GOD will take care of my little girl but as a mother I am naturally very worried about this. I will update as soon as I can on how well Morgan is doing.
